Growth control for white pine bonsai
In order to create a well-balanced white pine bonsai, the control of the growth is immensely important. Breaking off or shortening the new shoots (candles) is very important in bonsai care and a recurring work in spring.
This pinching directs the growth force from the stronger parts of the bonsai tree to the weaker parts.
