Description

11 years old Chinese ash tree in a bonsai pot. This tree is approx. 52cm high and we deliver it with a saucer plate.

The Chinese ash (botanical Fraxinus sinensis, also Fraxinus chinensis, family Oleaceae) is a small (10m) flowering tree.

Naturally occurring in China it grows in open woods. The typical temperature at the natural site is 25ºC in summer and 5ºC in winter. In winter, the temperature may drop below 0°C.

The Chinese ash is a deciduous, ie at low temperatures, a Fraxinus sinensis bonsai discards its leaflets.

A Chinese ash bonsai is good for keeping as a cold bonsai. A Chinese Ash bonsai prefers a bright and cool place in winter (around 0°C). Light frosts are well tolerated.

When ordering, you will always get the bonsai displayed on the picture (no. 111-91).

Important note on the size: A bonsai is a tree in a bonsai pot. For this reason the size of the bonsai is in every case the size with the bonsai pot.
