12 years old Chinese privet tree in a bonsai pot. This tree is approx. 44cm high and we deliver it with a saucer plate.
The Japanese privet bonsai (botanical Ligustrum chinensis, family Oleaceae) is easy to maintain and therefore well suited for beginners. It is originated in Japan and Korea and is often styled as an indoor bonsai.
If the tree gets enough water and fertilizer it is fast growing. A cool and bright place during winter is fine for this tree.
In the summertime always keep moist. A Chinese privet bonsai needs a lot of water in summer. Repotted the tree in early spring (early March). Due to strong growth a privet bonsai needs sufficient amounts of fertilizer from March to September.
When ordering, you will always get the bonsai displayed on the picture (no. 121-45).
Important note on the size: A bonsai is a tree in a bonsai pot. For this reason the size of the bonsai is in every case the size with the bonsai pot.
