Description of this bonsai
12 years old Boxelder maple in a plastic bonsai pot. This prebonsai tree is approx. 45cm high and was made by Bonsaischule Wenddorf.
Boxelder (also Ash maple, Boxelder maple, Ash-leaved maple, botanically Acer negundo, family Aceraceae) is native to North America and is widely common in Europe. The Boxelder maple is a deciduous, naturally upright growing tree. It is an outdoor bonsai and reaches a height of up to 15m
The flowers and feathery leaves are impressive in the spring. The Boxelder is rarely styled as a bonsai and not often offered.
A well-permeable substrate, as well as a constant humidity without excessive wetting is fine for the Boxelder bonsai.
Protected against drying the tree can withstand long periods of freezing in the winter well. A sunny position is important for the ash maple bonsai.
When ordering, you will always get the bonsai displayed on the picture (no. 121-32).
